coma is divided into light coma and deep coma. shallow coma refers to the patient's partial loss of consciousness, loss of response to sound and light, painful manifestations of stinging including pressure pain reflex, or hyperextension of the limbs. at the same time, patients will experience a series of changes such as urinary retention and urinary incontinence, and the pain will cause them to move their limbs.
deep coma refers to the patient's most severe disturbance of consciousness, with no reaction. there is no reflex to light, sound or sting. the patient will have mydriasis and a drop in blood pressure. he or she will need to use vasopressor drugs, or if spontaneous breathing disappears, a ventilator will be used to assist breathing and other treatment measures. in addition, the patient is completely in a state of urinary retention or loss of consciousness of defecation.(warm reminder: medical science sharing. this content does not represent face-to-face consultation. if you feel unwell, please seek medical treatment as soon as possible.)
