different causes, different treatment measures and individual differences often have different effects on the prognosis of coma patients. generally, the prognosis of coma patients is determined using the five-level classification based on the glasgow coma treatment outcome proposed by jennett and bond in 1975. assessment time ranges from 3 months to 1 year:
① good: adults can regain their ability to adapt to life and participate in work, and children and young people can go to school.
② moderately disabled: the patient can take care of himself but has mild neurological impairment. although he can sometimes participate in some simple tasks, his working ability is significantly reduced.
③severely disabled: the patient cannot take care of himself and needs help from others to take care of his life.
④persistent vegetative state.
⑤death.
